The Republic of Ruvila was born during the Ruvilian Revolution, supported by Earthlings. It inherited most of the former kingdom's territory, namely the Ruvilian Plains, a vast expanse of grasslands and forests. Its southern border lies the Ruvilian Sea. The country is divided into six provinces, one capital,a special district and the Joint Development Territory. According to 1990 data, the Republic of Ruvila had a total population of 5.07 million.

The Kingdom of Ruvila was once a nation composed of numerous knightly territories. The knightly class believes that all are equal, regardless of strength or wealth and even the king was merely one of many knights. In the Republic, the sanctity of the Golden Constitution, a collection of regulations from successive parliaments and kings, was guaranteed and the freedom and peace of the knights were established. The exhilaration of the victorious uprising, advancements in Earth technology and the export of industrial goods and demand for raw materials from the construction of the joint territory brought unprecedented prosperity and development to the Republic.
