Personal History

Sylvia, a graduate of the Republic's Bachelor programme, was recruited into the Cosmodrome Tactical Unit due to her potent EGO abilities. Though the Republic's Public Welfare Society claims to have severed all ties with the former Talab Order, the attire of its Bachelors remains virtually indistinguishable from that of the Order's former nuns. This persistence stems from the fact that, despite the change of regime, many commoners still struggle to differentiate between the Republic and the Kingdom, or between the Society and the Order.

Sylvia made each teammate an adorable little stuffed animal. When she arranged them together, it was as though she saw everyone gathered in perfect harmony. To outsiders, the atmosphere within the Security Task Force seemed a world away from "perfect harmony", but Sylvia never paid the slightest attention to such trivial squabbles.

The truth is: these charming dolls are essentially voodoo dolls, enabling Sylvia to cast beneficial spells upon her comrades through them as conduits. Earth-born Security Bureau operatives wore complex expressions when discussing Sylvia's abilities, yet the Noxian members of the Landing Site Mobile Squad harboured no reservations whatsoever. Presumably, they harboured no suspicion that Sylvia, whose maternal benevolence embraced all, would use these dolls for nefarious purposes. Rumour does persist, however, that the Landa Mobile Squad's top brass avoid falling out largely because Sylvia arranges these dolls in formation and casts a "Relationship Improvement" spell upon them.

According to Sylvia herself, having grown up in a happy and complete family with several younger brothers and sisters, she developed a habit of caring for others from a young age. For her, both duties and combat were merely routine matters, what truly mattered was everyone being together in harmony (by her standards). Due to her excessive kindness and enthusiasm, she sometimes struggled to comprehend others' obsessions. Seeing others happy brought her joy, while witnessing their despondency prompted her to offer comfort and assistance.

Cleaning and pressing Julius's crisp uniforms, altering Erika's skirts to the proper length, not to mention tailoring the costumes Felice collected for her make-up sessions to fit perfectly, these tasks were always handled by the ever-reliable Sylvia. Among her teammates, only Hannah persistently refused her services with impatience, a reluctance Hannah dared not admit stemmed from her discomfort at being measured with a tape measure pressed against her body.

Though Sylvia excels at tailoring according to others' specifications, her own sense of style is rather... well, let's just say it's decidedly old-fashioned. Compounded by her excessive zeal, Sylvia would occasionally take it upon herself to add unnecessary embellishments, such as knitting a pink woolen cover for Erika's game console. Erika tore it off in a fit of rage and flung it into the dustbin. Sylvia was momentarily disheartened, but soon regained her cheerful demeanour.

Personal Report

Sylvia is a scholar from the Public Welfare Society who was dispatched to the Cosmodrome Tactical Unit due to her excellent EGO ability.
Her ability can greatly enhance the physical properties of the protective gear worn by her comrades during combat. When Sylvia cast her magic for the first time, those miserable scavengers witnessed their bullets ricochet off the mobile squad officers who were step-by-step pressing closer, and they were so terrified that they threw up their hands and surrendered on the spot.

EGO ability is innate to every Noxian , but for the vast majority of people throughout their lives, their EGO ability is limited to performing minor tricks in front of family and friends. To become an individual capable of standing on one's own, one must possess talent that far exceeds ordinary people, as well as unremitting training and development later in life.

Whether it is the Holy Moon Convent of the former Kingdom of Walentia , or the independent Public Welfare Society of the Republic of Ruvila, there is a set of long-standing rules regarding the post-development of individuals with EGO talent. According to Sylvia, her ability was also acquired after undergoing years of arduous training. She would then speak of a series of training subjects—which would sound harder than ascending to heaven if strung together—with a casual tone, causing those officers who held a playful attitude and wanted this scholar to teach them a trick or two to back off in fear, not daring to ask further questions.

The scholar's attire is largely identical to that of the nuns from the independent Holy Moon Convent. Pacing through a city where space and science coexist, she looks entirely out of place. Yet Sylvia does not care about this at all and always wishes a beautiful day to everyone who holds a different opinion of her. Just like that, her ability and kindness proved that she is an indispensable member of the Cosmodrome Tactical Unit. Sylvia personally crafted cute puppets using the image of each teammate as a prototype, lining them up in a row at her workstation in the Tactical Unit office and then cast solidarity and harmony magic upon the puppets.

Looking at it this way, the Public Welfare Society that teaches people to use voodoo puppets doesn't seem to be any less scientific than the Cult of Science.

Having grown up since childhood in a happy and harmonious big family, acting as the eldest daughter to take care of a crowd of younger brothers and sisters, Sylvia does not care about whether what she does is good or evil; she only hopes that everyone in the team can harmoniously and amicably stay together forever, and wishes at all times to lend her teammates a helping hand. Whether it is helping Julius wash her military ceremonial uniform, altering Erika's pleated skirt to be shorter, or modifying Felice's outfit used for undercover investigation—she is skilled in needlework and eager to show her worth. The only issue is that Hannah, who possesses high self-esteem, always refuses her kind intentions time and again.

Although her spirits inevitably sink slightly every time she is refused, Sylvia can always quickly rally her energy again and continue to enthusiastically help everyone.

Interviews transcript

Interviewee: Erika
"Uh... ah-ah-ah! What is this?! Does the entire Nox Society have a second GAMEGIRL handheld console with a pink yarn cover? If I take this kind of thing out in broad daylight, won't I be laughed to death by people! Miss Sylvia, please don't do unnecessary things in the future!"

Interviewee: Hannah
"Since the day I was born, this is the first time I've seen such a powerful abilities user. Even a bulletproof shield plate with armor-piercing warheads embedded in it can recover to its original state. Just how on Nox was this cultivated... Actually, it's not that I have a grudge against her! It's just that every time she wants to measure my body to make clothes, her tape measure wanders around my waist and chest... I can only politely decline this kind intention."

Interviewee: Istar
"Witches and magical girls share the same source of magical power, but witches do not have righteous companions, class caps, or things of that nature. They only walk upon the earth alone, searching for lost ancient texts and pursuing the peak of magical artistry—therefore, Istar still feels that someone like Felice who pursues love and light is a bit more cute!"
