Personal History
To prevent Earthlings from targeting landing supplies, the Cosmodrome Tactical Unit comprised primarily local Nox personnel. This composition, however, resulted in a motley crew that proved difficult to manage. Upon assuming command as squad leader, Julius, a knight by nature, immediately transformed the lax and chaotic atmosphere through masterful leadership, an optimistic and proactive attitude and leading by example, drawing the admiration of her colleagues. Particularly striking was Julius's impeccable appearance: her uniform was always crisply pressed, her riding boots gleaming and her hair meticulously combed. No matter how gruelling the training or mission, she maintained immaculate military bearing. This earned her a spot on the Security Bureau's promotional posters, winning her numerous admirers and the moniker "The Cosmodrome Tactical Unit Prince."
Of course, these admirers were not soldiers under Julius' command; the men in her squadron often spoke of her with sarcasm and ridicule. Julius firmly believed that an outstanding knight should inspire comrades to continually improve together. Thus, she frequently beamed as she urged her subordinates to surpass themselves during gruelling training sessions, leaving soldiers accustomed to a more relaxed pace utterly miserable. However, Julius is incorruptible and fair. She trains harder than anyone else, possesses exceptionally well-rounded military skills and stands unmatched within the squadron. This leaves the soldiers utterly unable to find fault with her.
It cannot be said she has earned unconditional trust, Misfits are ever quick to speak out of turn: skill in organising drills does not equate to mastery of command in battle. Julius has yet to face truly severe combat, and thus, some ill-wishers await her downfall. As for Julius herself, she eagerly anticipates the crucible of war, for martial glory alone stands as a knight's finest testament.
Julius hailed from one of the Republic's most illustrious knightly lineages, descended from countless distinguished generals and warriors. Yet by her father's generation, she had been reduced to the ranks of the "Two-Footed Knights" (Hedge knights), subsisting on the meagre stipend of the Republican Guard. The Julius Family could afford neither servants nor vassals, yet her father appeared daily in immaculate uniform, boots gleaming, hair meticulously combed, presenting an air of distinction that led all who saw him to imagine he commanded a retinue of seven or eight attendants.
Julius was raised as a boy from childhood, steeped in the family tradition. She underwent rigorous training in both physical prowess and skill, while also devouring books on the “Six Arts of Chivalry”. To her father's satisfaction, Julius resolved early on to become a respectable knight. Unfortunately, her definition of respectability differed entirely from her father's. A chance encounter with an Earth military compendium in her youth altered the young woman's path. She resolved that to stand alongside her ancestors, she must achieve military distinction, a goal attainable only through mastering Earth's military science.
Most knights still maintained that the Ruvilian Defence Force's practice of mixing civilians and knights in their units, modelled on Earth's military, was utterly disgraceful. Julius had no intention of joining the Ruvilian Defence Force. She resolved to learn directly from Earthlings and applied to the United Territories' military academy. This sparked a fierce argument between father and daughter, so much so that when Julius reported for duty, she carried nothing but a pocket watch bearing the family crest, she considered herself already possessing the most precious inheritance: the knightly spirit. Whether confronting difficult subordinates or facing fierce combat, she approached it all with proactive optimism. Within her heart lay a vague ideal: to become a model for the "new" knights, believing the future of the United Territories and the Republic would be forged by such new knights.
The self-disciplined knight never actively sought amusement, each day was devoted either to training or to reading and study, thanks to the introduction of Earth's advanced printing technology, which had utterly overturned the kingdom's era notion that books were exquisitely crafted and prohibitively expensive. During her time at the military academy, Julius had spent most of her leisure hours in the library and now a significant portion of her income was also spent on acquiring books.
However, Julius seemed unable to grasp one fundamental truth: Earth's books were not solely for imparting knowledge, many existed purely for entertainment. Works like "The Maiden Knight's Code", "Sweet Catch 41" and the manga "Ace Troops: Falling for Me" were acquired with equal fervour, studied as precious Earth artefacts. Lost in the ocean of ‘knowledge,’ Julius found herself utterly captivated, devouring it like a starving man pouncing upon bread.
The awkward thing is, the ambitious knight hadn't forgotten to put her learning into practice, she began quoting lines from romance comics and novels as if they were famous aphorisms and even for a gentleman of impeccable manners, such behaviour could sometimes seem rather too sentimental.
Personal Report
Julius is a striking figure within the Security Bureau: her uniform is always impeccably pressed, her boots waxed , and her hair perfectly groomed. Regardless of the intensity of training or missions, she maintains a pristine appearance. As a result, she once appeared on a promotional propaganda poster for the Security Bureau, earning the admiration of many young officers.
As the captain of the Cosmodrome Tactical Unit, Julius immediately transformed the formerly lax and disorganized unit.
She firmly believes that an excellent knight should inspire their comrades to constantly improve in both training and discipline. The team members, accustomed to a more relaxed approach, found it difficult to adjust. However, since Julius leads by example, they have no grounds for complaint
Julius comes from one of the most prestigious knightly families of Ruvila , but by her generation, the family had started to fall into decline, with no land left to its name. From a young age, Julius vowed to restore her ancestors' glory, which is why she dedicated herself to studying Earth’s military science. In her spare time, she is always reading, diligently studying any Earth military literature she can find.
However, Julius seems to have failed to realize that some Earth books are purely for entertainment. Books and comics like “The Code of the Maiden Knight”, “Sweet Catch 41”, and “An Ace Soldier Fell in Love with Me” are regarded by her with the same seriousness as a war manual. Due to her rather eclectic learning, she occasionally quotes such works in a serious tone, reciting rather cheesy lines as if they were profound military speeches’ ...
