The Hunters of the Gray Zone
The Vostok-08 Squad

In the initial planning stages of the Eastern Project, the preparatory group reached a cooperation agreement with the Joint Development Region Security Bureau. The Security Bureau agreed to send its most elite force, the 8th Squad of the Operations Department, to provide security for the preparatory group's operations in the United Territory in exchange for urgently needed foreign exchange. After the search for the "Legacy" officially began, the personnel of the 8th Squad of the Operations Department were formally incorporated into a search team under the Eastern Project, called the "Vostok-08 Squad," directly led by the head of the Eastern Project preparatory group, a former officer of the Primorsky Republic who was also a "Prapor." To avoid legal disputes along the way, it was not nominally an official military organization of the Primorsky Republic or the Joint Development Region.

The main member of the "Vostok-08" team is special operations expert Elena. She recruited elite soldiers and exceptional individuals. She had previously served as joint police leaders. The Eighth Squad of the Operations Department has dealt with many troublesome and ruthless criminals and difficult cases. Elena is an upright, mission-focused captain, that also place great importance on protecting these rare talents, however, managing these young and highly individualistic special forces member is quite a troublesome matter.

The "spear and shield" of the Joint Development Region
The Cosmodrome Tactical Unit

The Cosmodrome Tactical Unit, under the Joint Development Region and Security Bureau's Operations Division, is primarily responsible for security and patrols at the Joint Development Region and Landing Zone. The squadron was once a lightly armed patrol force tasked with tasks including dissuading civilians who had strayed or pretended to stray onto the edge of the landing ground's restricted area, maintaining sentry posts at various entrance stations, dispersing protesters against noise, pollution, and danger of the landing zone, and apprehending thieves who had infiltrated the landing Zone to steal. However, in recent years, the squadron's main adversaries have become the refugees who have established camps around the landing Zone. These refugees include scavengers who frequently "collect" scraps from the landing Zone, as well as genuinely ruthless gangsters and criminals. As a result, the squadron's weaponry has become increasingly militarized, even including armored personnel carriers.

Julius, born into a Ruvilian Knights family and currently leads the mobile guard. She was fair and strict, compassionate yet unyielding towards scavengers. The team's undercover investigator, Felice, believes the key issue lies in the unity of the city's criminals. The black market and the management committee were rife with corruption, so they rarely got involved in Direct confrontation with the enemy. Some team members, however, viewed their duties as simply work, They were thinking about their real lives. Because they were all pure-blooded Noxian people. The Cosmodrome Tactical Unit is often able to communicate smoothly with scavengers, avoiding many unnecessary conflict , although their team had some communication problems.

The Republic's Two Wings
the 1st Guard Regiment

The Republican Guard is a direct descendant of the knightly insurgents of the Ruvilian Revolution, composed entirely of volunteer knights. Its function is to protect the Golden Constitution and the fruits of the uprising from both external and internal enemies. In other words, its duties encompass everything from preventing tyranny to apprehending unauthorized emigrants. This army is directly under the jurisdiction of the council, and many officers are also members of parliament. The Republican Guard is organized by region into "banners" (equivalent in size to brigades), each banner comprising a Guard Regiment, a [Cropped (but probabbly some sort of cavalery regiment)] Regiment, and a Regiment of Jäger . There is one banner per province, funded by voluntary donations from the knights of that province. However, the "Swidnik" banner is an exception: its garrison is staffed entirely by knights selected from across the country. The First Guard Regiment to which this banner belongs is the most prestigious unit within the Republican Guard.

The members of the First Guard Regiment are almost all from noble knightly families. These young ladies, revered as "princesses," are responsible for the ceremonial guard and security of the Republic's parliament and important departments in the capital, making them the most dazzling sight in the capital, Seimpolis. However, due to their proximity to the political center and their ability to gather various kinds of information, the First Guard Regiment is also a stage for the social interactions and maneuvering of the powerful and wealthy. The captain, Morian, is particularly keen on using her comrades to benefit both herself and ?Charetoffs?, while the captain, Angela, who wears the halo of a "saint," is completely at her mercy.

Zarab Militia

Nestled in the mountains of Zarab, various ethnic groups live like mosaics in their fragmented little worlds, divided by the mountains. Among them are the ancient gates of Circassia and the Samoyed tribe, and even nuns and immigrants sent by the kingdom. According to publicly available information from the Vespuccian media, Mazdak, the leader of the Freedom League, reigns over this secluded land as a benevolent, devout, and chivalrous leader. However, some undisclosed sources tell a different story: Adventists who travel to Zarab for "spiritual purification" ecstatically praise Mazdak for banning all depraved and corrupting entertainment. Vespuccian's foreign aid department cautiously discusses in its report the damage to water resources caused by the Freedom League's promotion of "special crops"...

On the hillside, beside the stream, in the celebratory grotto, before nightfall, the bard Aransi strummed his harp, and after praising the deeds of ancient heroes, he began to sing of the living legend, the legend of Vanalletta Hatuk, of her generosity, her contempt for Mazdak, and her elusive and fearless nature. A symbol of many seeds, they rarely acted with fanfare, but everywhere there were three Because of its symbolism of abundance and unity, it became the symbol of the anti-Mazdak movement led by Vanalletta Sympathizers even within the Mazdak court were no exception.
