Personal History
Pola proclaims herself the second-in-command of the gang known as "The Postmen", though this claim is only acknowledged by others when she is present. Following scavenger custom, Pola required a Codename. After much mental gymnastics, she settled upon "Big Tiger" and insisted others use it, only to forget the name entirely after a night's sleep, revealing the poverty of her imagination. Others typically refer to her as "Hungry Devil".
Though Pola occasionally puts on airs as second-in-command, It is merely a case of playing dress-up—an imitation of Yulia. At heart, her outlook on life is as simple as that of an unweaned infant; her greatest desire is to eat—preferably meat. When well-fed, Pola is carefree, easy to get along with, and even eager to help others. However, if hunger strikes, she begins to wail loudly, becoming irritable and aggressive. If the hunger persists, she starts devising various schemes to get food using her not-so-bright mind—plans that, once put into action, almost invariably end in disaster. And if she goes hungry any longer, she wilts completely, collapsing onto the ground, unable to move until someone feeds her.
Pola's brute strength and the sharp axe in her grasp form the most palpable military deterrent within the "The Postman" gang. Those ruthless individuals seeking to double-cross their own kind fear first and foremost her unstoppable destructive power, only then the "The Postman's" cunning intellect. Pola can haul heavy wreckage and bend thick steel plates with her bare hands. Such strength transcends mortal limits, understood only as a self-taught EGO technique.
When and how did Pola acquire such skills? Pola harbours no desire to conceal her early years, though she herself cannot recall them. What is known is this: Pola once roamed the borderlands between the United Territories and the Republic, taken in by many households, likely because they expected her to work, yet driven out time and again, probably due to her insatiable appetite. Consequently, Pola received little formal education, she cannot read or write, nor can she count properly.
Pola's life story began with a robbery, incited by a gang of thugs, she raided a post office and abducted Yulia, mistaking her for an Earthling. Yet Yulia soon turned the tables, becoming the gang's leader, while Pola acknowledged her as her "godmother". Now, Pola serves as Yulia's foremost tool. Beyond lending her strength in fights and labour, she's also tasked with testing any potentially dangerous homemade contraptions. Ever eager for a bite to eat, Bola remains blissfully oblivious to danger. Beyond exploiting her, Yulia appears to harbour genuine sympathy for her unfortunate situation.
