Personal History
If one were to ask who President Sylph’s favorite employee was, the answer would undoubtedly be Larida, the woman who loudly proclaimed herself the "Top Strategist of the Golden Fleece Guard Unite". Despite being a slacker who spent her time idling about, she was a master of flattery; she managed to secure the President’s favoritism while doing the least work and reaping the most profit.
For knights, abandoning the honor of their guard duties to work for commoners was certainly contemptible. Even more unthinkable, in their eyes, was the act of shirking one's duties and cutting corners. Yet, Larida had intuitively mastered this skill, one that was considered advanced even among commoners. She had Sylph wrapped around her finger with constant praise like "So impressive!" and "You're amazing!", leading the President to believe she was a stellar maid. In a sense, while her colleagues were still busy passively reacting to Sylph’s demands, Larida had already grasped the rules of this new workplace and was thriving within them.
The other maids, who still retained some semblance of a knight's moral code, naturally disapproved of Larida’s behavior; after all, a maid who constantly slacked off shouldn't logically win over customers. Yet, no one had exposed her to Sylph so far because she was incredibly "loyal" to her peers, never keeping the spoils of her schemes to herself. She was always willing to alter schedules, dodge thankless tasks, share items she had bought on a whim only to let them gather dust, and under the guise of "inventory loss" use food from the storeroom to treat her colleagues to extra meals. Furthermore, customers who interacted with her often received "little gifts" or "special discounts."
Through her thoughtful tactics of bribery and camaraderie, Larida soon dragged everyone colleagues and customers alike into her orbit. Far from being in a position to criticize her, they often found themselves turning to her for help when faced with difficulties; even the consistently diligent and earnest Windsor was no exception. Seeing Larida mingling so effortlessly with the others, Sylph assumed she possessed some unique knack for winning over customers and was even more pleased with her the careless boss completely failed to notice anything amiss with the shop's revenue.
On the battlefield, Larida might not have inflicted the highest number of casualties, but she was the one who gave her opponents the biggest headache. She played by her own rules, and her mind, teeming with schemes and tricks, constantly ran the enemy ragged. For instance, she would often drag her machine gun around to fire from various directions, tricking the enemy into believing they were surrounded by a massive force and causing them to panic and retreat in haste.
