Personal History

Julius is the commander of the 501th long range reconnaissance team and the captain of the Long-Range Reconnaissance Company within the 4th Motorized Infantry Division’s reconnaissance battalion.

Julius is the quintessential example of an outstanding officer from Ostheim: conscientious, professional, and disciplined, yet never blindly obedient to superiors. Her comrades long ago grew accustomed to deliberately ignoring the prominent animal ears atop her head, treating her as an ordinary fellow soldier while tacitly acknowledging her innate, primal instincts, instincts that granted her exceptional situational awareness and wilderness survival skills (skills that had absolutely nothing to do with any "pure" Nox bloodline).

For generations, Julius’s family served as game wardens in the Royal Forests of the Sobilin Province, overseeing aristocratic hunting grounds, guiding large-scale hunts, and managing timber harvesting. After her uncles perished in the Ruvilian Revolution, the Union provided the utmost care for the martyrs' families; she accompanied her grandparents to Earth, settling in the forested regions south of Ostheim. There, her grandparents, still strong and healty, could patrol and hunt across mountains, forests, and swamps just as they had back home, breathing fresh air indistinguishable from that of the planet Nox. They were spared Earth’s harsher environmental hazards, such as the acid rain that proved so toxic to the Nox people, while benefiting from modern medical care.

Raised by her grandparents, Julius developed the ability to traverse complex terrain from a young age, moving through swamps and jungles with ease. She excels at gathering intelligence using only basic equipment and her own powers of observation, without relying on vehicles or advanced reconnaissance gear. As an officer, her greatest shortcoming is perhaps her tendency to operate as a lone wolf; she prefers solving problems herself rather than delegating tasks. It is not uncommon for soldiers under her command to find themselves unable to locate their leader. Furthermore, she shows no interest in and never participates in the casual, non-duty-related chatter of her subordinates. In the old days of Ostheim, military doctrine focused entirely on highly structured mechanized corps operations, an environment where Julius's individual talents might have found little use. However, following her appointment, the National People's Army began to adopt lessons learned from multinational forces in various localized conflicts, placing greater emphasis on agile, small-scale reconnaissance teams. The long-range reconnaissance company Julius commanded had a total strength of just six officers and twenty-seven enlisted personnel. In the event of war, the company was designed to split into eight four-person teams to infiltrate deep behind enemy lines.

Julius knew the mission parameters for her reconnaissance teams by heart and was fully confident in her ability to execute them successfully. Yet, just before hostilities commenced, Division Headquarters issued a mysterious "important mission" directive: she was to infiltrate enemy territory and rendezvous with an SfV scout to carry out a special assignment known only to that scout. Julius accepted the order with her customary composure, though, in a rare instance of internal dissent, she silently questioned whether this special mission was truly significant enough to justify abandoning her comrades and leaving the division without its vital "eyes and ears."

Personal Briefing

Julius was a typical example of an outstanding officer in Osterheim: conscientious, responsible, professional, and disciplined yet never blindly following orders. Her comrades had long been accustomed to deliberately ignoring the conspicuous animal ears on her head, treating her as an ordinary comrade, and assuming that she possessed a certain primal insight and wilderness skills, unrelated to her pure Nox bloodline.

Raised by her grandparents, the Royal Forest Hunters of Sobilin Province, Julius developed the ability to traverse various complex terrains from a young age. She excels at gathering information using only simple equipment and her own observation skills, without relying on vehicles or advanced reconnaissance equipment.

As an officer, Julius's biggest flaw was probably her solitary work style. She preferred to solve problems on her own rather than assign tasks. It was common for soldiers under her command to be unable to find their commander. And Julius never showed any interest in her subordinates' idle chatter unrelated to their duties, never participating in it.

Julius's military career had been preparing her for a possible war in Europe. She was intimately familiar with the mission she was assigned and was fully confident that she would fulfill it. However, just before the war began, her division headquarters suddenly and mysteriously conveyed an "important mission," requiring her to go behind enemy lines and meet up with an SFV reconnaissance officer to carry out a top-secret special mission.

Julius calmly accepted the order as usual, but she secretly harbored a rare grumbling in her heart, hoping that this special mission was really important enough to be worthwhile for her to leave behind her comrades in the reconnaissance company and her role as the eyes and ears of the entire division.

Captain Julius's assessment: A pure-blooded Noxian, calm and resolute in character, with good relationships with his comrades, ruthless towards the people's enemies, unmarried, with clear social connections, and a recipient of an organizational medal.

Interviewee: Natasha
Others say Captain Julius of Steel is a robot, and the beast ears on his head are actually antennas for receiving signals. I don't believe such nonsense, I've had food poisoning with her a few times, and we've even shared a toilet session together.

Interviewee: Marianna
After joining the team, Sylvia was running her first cross-country race behind Julius when a snake bit Julius's buttocks. However, she ran the entire race with the snake hanging on her. It wasn't until they reached their destination and took the snake off that Sylvia realized it wasn't Julius's tail.
