Personal History

Elizabeth possessed a slim and graceful figure. Her pale limbs, coupled with a flowing black veil, made her appear like a skeleton shrouded in black mist in the shadows, quite frightening indeed. As a renowned fortune teller, Elizabeth's "divination" took many forms: sometimes she would hold a crystal ball and talk to herself, observe bird tracks by day, gaze at the stars by night and sometimes even interpret omens from the clouds, then confidently tell others that they had encountered some kind of misfortune... In reality, it was all just her charlatanry.

Elizabeth was extremely sensitive, even to the point of being neurotic, making it difficult for her to communicate normally with others. She constantly observed the behavior and activities of others, even analyzing their micro-expressions. Many behaviors and expressions that seemed perfectly normal to others often touched a nerve with her, which she would repeatedly ponder and analyze from various angles, what was the deeper meaning behind their actions? Were they plotting something to harm her? So, in order to thwart such a plot, she began to fabricate all sorts of ominous signs to deter others.

However, Elizabeth was not a charlatan; her true divination involved lighting her old oil lamp and observing the smoke. Because of her exceptional skill, many people with various ulterior motives sought her help, which further exacerbated her neuroticism. She preferred dealing with dogs to people, because dogs were always perceived as having simpler minds.

Elizabeth was wary of anything unfamiliar, especially the bizarre electronic gadgets from Earth that made crackling noises and flashed various lights, sending chills down her spine. She stubbornly believed they were used to control people's minds and therefore resolutely stayed away from all electronic products.

Elizabeth never revealed the reason for her neuroticism, she was a victim of the Entente "mind control" research during the Cold War. At the time, the Entente side believed that the Union possessed some kind of "brainwashing" technology, which was why they had won the loyalty of many locals in Nox and even the Entente elites. Therefore, they began "counter-revolutionary" research into mind control, consciousness distortion, and memory implantation, hoping to cultivate their own loyalists in the Zarab region. Elizabeth was unfortunately captured and became a test subject. The "mind control" research unsurprisingly failed and the Entente turned to more traditional methods to cultivate agents, including Mazdak. However, the damage suffered by the "test subjects" was already deeply etched into their memories...
