       The mission failed to secure incriminating evidence against the Warrant Officer within the Republic. Consequently, higher command concluded that reinforcement required not merely material and manpower, but also intellectual support. Though Jacqueline sought to defeat the Warrant Officer single-handedly and both General McDonald and the Army were highly reluctant, viewing it as an attempt to claim credit, the Air Force generously dispatched their strategic advisor, Bella, a young woman already regarded as the most brilliant military theorist in the Vespuccian Air Force.

       Bella's theory is the so-called "SBO", Strike-Based Operations. She takes particular delight in promoting her theory to anyone she encounters. As she typically speaks rather slowly yet covers extensive ground, Bella favours employing baffling acronyms such as NG (New Generation), JA (Joint Attack), EDO (Expedited Decision Operations) and SKC3 (Superiority based on Knowledge, Command and Control). This earned her the nickname "AG", the Acronym Generator. Bella's theory borrows heavily from concepts and structures within postmodern philosophy, leaving listeners perpetually on the verge of understanding.

       During her childhood, Bella witnessed first-hand several protracted and devastating localised wars launched by the Entente organisation. The precocious Bella, after careful reflection, concluded that the problem lay in the Alliance's outdated and conservative military doctrine. They were fixated on decisive battles, occupation and annihilating the enemy. When objectives proved unattainable, they resorted to simplistic solutions like bolstering troop numbers and firepower, or even rashly demanding the use of nuclear weapons. Warfare, she argued, ought to be conducted in a more controllable, intelligent manner, with minimal collateral damage.

       Thus Bella employed numerous postmodern philosophical concepts to reshape military doctrine dominated by classical mechanics. Her ideas garnered immediate and widespread acclaim upon introduction. Moreover, under the guise of these theories, the Entente did indeed achieve decisive victories in several localised conflicts.

       However, these victories stemmed less from the potency of the new theory than from sheer military might and technological superiority. While the enemy's will to fight was indeed shattered, it remains unclear whether this resulted from SBO doctrine or the sheer intimidation of the Alliance's unrivalled dominance following its dissolution. In essence, Bella's new theory functioned as the Emperor's New Clothes within the multinational force: no one truly understood it, yet all feared being exposed as fools and thus pretended comprehension.
